The women are all in winter uniform. They gave assistance at the U.S. Army Port of Embarkation in Hoboken during World War I and continuing after the end of the war when its role was as a Port of Debarkation.
From the papers of Florence G. Miller & Family. People have not been identified, but among them is Mr. Mary Miller Markey.
