Holographic inscriptions of the reverse: his name in ink plus pencil notes that he was the battalion chief and was "in charge at fire Aug 24/21 Hoboken Docks." Also printers marks: 1/2 col[umn] Sunday. Rubber stamped date: Aug 28 1921. Blue paper residue from some removed file label. Relationship to the Miller or Markey families is unknown, except that Mrs. Frank Markey (Mary Miller Markey, Mary Henry Miller) probably was in the news article for the her American Red Cross Volunteer role.
