Specimen bond: New Jersey Junction Railroad Company, One Hundred Year Four Per Centum First Mortgage Bond, 1886; Principal Due February 1st, 1986. Guaranty by New York Central and Hudson Railroad Company, New York.
Engraved certificate, 9-3/4" high x 13-1/4" wide (as received one vertical fold); unissued and with numerous cancellation punches; bond serial number R351. No interest coupons. (Second copy also on file: serial number R352 - same in all respects, but one vertical fold at center.)
The N.J. Junction Railroad was a short-haul line. In Hoboken it operated on the right-of-way that is now the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail. The railroad was New York City based company as part of the parent N.Y. Central.
It has no value denoted in dollars where it could be entered or punched.The issue was limited to four million dollars.
