Although all were printed in September, sky conditions suggest more than one shooting date. 1: view north from Fifth Street pier area with Castle Point and the Stevens Center building; deteriorated piers at Sixth to Seventh Streets on the Hudson River. 2: view northeast of deteriorated piers at or near the former Pennsylvania Railroad facility on River Road below Elysian Park; note crane at left in the Bethlehem Steel shipyard. 3: view south of same area as photo 2 with lower Manhattan in the background including the World Trade Center; River Road at the right. 4: view south about 8th Street with Castle Point to right.
