Object/Artifact
Wagon jack used by the Kostelecky family in their Hoboken carriage making and repair business, no date, ca. 1880-1900. Ca. 38" high x 8" wide x ca. 15" deep.
Hand cranked with locking mechanism. Minimum height at top ca. 36" with a travel of 24" to a maximum height of ca. 60" (which would be unlikely as it would be unstable.) Appears to be hand crafted in all respects and probably made by Joseph Kostelecky or one of their employees.
