DescriptionEight leaves of a photo album of the Wissman family, 509 Bloomfield St., Hoboken, ca. 1910-30. Most images are not of Hoboken scenes. Leaves 1, 2 and 4 have photographs that appear to have been taken in Hoboken, but no attribution of places or dates can be made. Forty-six black-and-white photos carefully mounted with photo corners. The size and number of images vary from page to page. Brittle black paper ca. 7" x 10" long, numerous edge chips and not bound. There are no captions and the backs of the few that were checked did not reveal any information. Where a page is noted as blank, it did not have any evidence of anything ever attached to it. While some of the images appear to have been taken in Hoboken, many were not. Each page is imaged in full with the leaf sequence related to images of similar sizes. (A check of a 1925 Hoboken phone directory does not show any Wissman, but there were many residents that did not have telephones. A 1965 directory does not have any Wissman.)
