Pencil, mechanical, yellow gold finish, with ring for attachment; from Columbia Trust Company, Hoboken, no date, ca. 1900-1920. Metal, 3-1/2" long x ca. 1/4" diameter. With: original 2-piece box imprinted with company name and place; 4-1/8" long x 5/8" wide x 3/8" high.
Item belonged to William H. Miller, Sr. (1922?-2004) of Hoboken. The bank does not appear in a Hoboken directory of the mid-1920's or later. The pencil is typical of ones attached to a watch fob for men or a chatelaine for women.
