Scope and ContentSchedule: United States Lines. Sailings to and From Europe. No. 26 - March 15, 1939. Single leaf, 9" high x 24" long folded to 4-1/2" wide. This publication is useful for the fact that NONE of the ships used Hoboken as a home port nor is Hoboken name anywhere in the brochure. In earlier years, the United States Lines had made Hoboken's southern piers its American home port. The U.S. Lines would later return to some use of Hoboken (as well as having offices here.) World War II would break out in Europe in only a few months on September 1, which made this one among the last schedules of this scope for many years. Other sailing lines and geographical points are promoted.
