Published black-and-white photographic illustration with caption; plate removed from source publication, Cyclopedia of Civil Engineering, Chicago et al. First published in 1908, this work had more than one imprint and went through several printings or editions into the 1920s. Leaf is printed one side, 6-5/16" x 9-3/8" high.
View is northwest; not seen is that at the bottom of the elevator were four railroad tracks that elevator traffic had to cross.
