A very detailed record of the events that took place to commemmorate the 300th anniversary of Henry Hudson's landing in 1609 in New York and the discovery of the river that was to be named after him. It included the commemoration of Robert Fulton's first successful steamboat on the Hudson in 1807 (thus the celebration was not for the centennial of that event.) Numerous photographs, drawings and plates, all of which are in the pagination except for frontispieces.
