Gold-finish stamped metal coin, 1-1/4" diameter. All lettering and images in low relief. Front: Hoboken, 100 Years, 1855 - Centennial - 1955; with a side-wheeler steamboat at the top and an ocean liner at the bottom.
Obverse: City of Hoboken, N.J., Corporate Seal; surrounds the nineteenth century image of the piers and industry of Hoboken including the ferry terminal, packet ships, and smokestacks. A ca. 3/16" diameter hole near the edge for attachment.
