Notes: Anthon (or Anthony?) was found listed as Vanderwiel with a home address of 132 Washington St., Hoboken, in 1926 Polk's Directory. Only a single reference to his work has been found regarding a photo taken by him: a 1914 dated Hoboken photograph in a collection at Utah State University - see notes. Useful to note that the 122 Washington Street address was in this period the site of another photographer / photo retailer, Herman (or Hermann) Jaffee who had a retail shop at that address. It is not believed that Van Der Weil was the proprietor of this business or that he occupied two buildings, 120 and 122. In the same 1926 Polk's Directory is a photography studio, Hollywood Art Studio, at 120-122 Washington St. run by a F. Bertil (the first name may be a typographic error; a John Bertil was listed in the same directory as a photographer with a home at 100 Washington St., but no F. Bertil.) An advertisement for this studio appears on page 1101. Original or Copy: Original Status: OK Status By: dw Status Date: 2014-10-24
