Notes: Obituary notices about a Paul Werner of Hoboken - it is unknown if this is the same Paul Werner as on the card. American Electrician, Vol. 15, No. 7, July 1903, page 386 Mr. Paul Werner, a well-known inventor, died at his home in Hoboken, N.J. on June 14 from brain fever, which was said to have resulted from over work on a speical type of electric motor which he had been trying to perfect. ==== The Electrical World and Engineer, Vol. 41, No. 25, June 20, 1903, page 1081: Mr. Paul Werner, an inventor, died at this home, Hoboken, on Sunday last. He devised the noiseless cable wheel which was used when the North Hudson County Railway operated its elevated road between Hoboken and Jersey City Heights, by cable. He also patented a number of machines used in the making of lead pencils. His death was caused by brain fever, said to be due to overwork on an electric motor which he had been trying ot perfect for more than a year. Status: OK Status By: dw Status Date: 2013-06-21
