DescriptionSepia-tone photo of an office of the Hoboken Bank for Savings, Hoboken, no date, ca. 1890. 9" high x 9-1/2" wide on 12" x 14" photographers mount. Photographer was Frank P. Jewett of Orange, N.J. The back has photographer's rubber stamp. Three copies, imaged and labeled A, B and C. The view through the window suggests this room was facing east. It was probably taken not long after the building was completed. The bank was established in 1857, but the building that this photo was taken in was built in 1890. It is at the southwest corner of Washington and Newark Sts.
