(Per the Fort Lee Historical Society: Babe Ruth teamed up with the Fort Lee Athletic Club and Lou Gehrig with a West New York team on October 4, 1931 for an exhibition game. Before a crowd of 8,000 people, Fort Lee jumped to a 3-2 lead, which they held into the seventh inning. The Fort Lee team was defeated 7-4.)

(Carey was roster player, but only appeared in three games (last was July 25, total of 5 plate appearances), but he was also a coach (infielder), one of five coaches on this team; they won the American League pennant and lost to the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series 4-3. A side note: he was the lowest paid member of the team.)
