Photograph
Sepia-tone group photograph of the Hoboken Lacrosse Club, no place (Hoboken?), 1913. A 10-3/8" high x 13-1/14" wide print mounted on a 16" x 20" heavyweight board with a toned paper covering with a debossed border. With a contemporary black wood frame and glass.
The donor's grandfather, Voorhis David Demarest is seated second from the left; see people for biography and image 5 for a scan of a printed biography provided by donor, printed source not identified. None of the other 13 men are identified. The photo was by William Manewal of Hoboken. Although the location is not identified, the hilly spot and the fence at the upper right suggests that it was on the grounds of the Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken. The caption "Hoboken Lacrosse Club" is in the image. The date underneath is in white ink appearing to be contemporary with the image. The reverse has some holographic pencil notations. Due to scanning limitations, the full width image is a composite of the left and right images.
