Edition is unstated, but an imaged copy from 1851 that may be seen online, stated Fourteenth Edition on title page; whether this is a true edition or a 14th printing is unknown. Examination of that copy and another from 1848 (also imaged online) show that the advertisments differ.
Hoboken will be found on a page 31 map. A close review of the map shows that Jersey City is identified where Hoboken should be and Hoboken where Weehawken is located. (Hoboken is placed north of what appears to be Weehawken Cove when it should be south of it and the shore profile where Jersey City is noted resembles the typical river shore where Castle Point was located.)
Excerpt of text on page 33 describing Jersey City, Hoboken, Weehawken and Bull's Ferry:
Jersey City, on the west side is a place of considerable importance. The Philadelphia rail road and the Paterson and Hudson rail road have their commencement here; as also the Morris Canal terminating on the Delaware River, at a distance of 102 miles. The Cunard line of steamers to Liverpool also depart from this city. Population in 1845. [there is no population stated.]
Hoboken opposite New York, has lately grown into quite a village, under the enterprize [sic - enterprise] of the Messrs Stevens, who own a large tract of land about here, and by whom a considerable portion of it has been laid out in walks, shaded by trees, which render the place very agreeable to the tired denizens of New York of a summer's afternoon. From the hills, in the neighborhood is a good view of the City and bay of New York. There are three ferries from the foot of Barclay, Canal, and Christopher streets.
Weehawken and Bull's Ferry, are also principally remarkable as affording pleasant walks, pure air, and prospects.
