Dark blue satin ribbon, 2" wide x 23" long with silver gilt stamped lettering. Reinforced ends with safety pin sewn to back of each end. Made by Whitehead & Hoag Co., Newark, N.J. - round printed paper label on reverse.
From the Papers of Florence G. Miller & Family. Florence Miller and her mother, Mrs. F. P. (Mary Miller) Markey were American Red Cross volunteers during World War I when Hoboken was the U.S. Army Port of Embarkation (and a Port of Debarkation.)
War Camp Community Service, Officers' House, Hoboken, N.J., Hudson and Third Streets. (The Grand Hotel was taken over for the duration of the war.)
