Passport of Pasquale Percoco and family, of Lagonegro, Italy, for travel to United States, May 27, 1896.
Printed certificate, 11-1/2" x 15" high, with holographic entries; inkstamps and printed revenue stamp (Umberto I Re Italia, Passaporto). All text in Italian (untranslated). Creased and worn.
Percoco was 24 years old. The passport included Francese and Antonio. They left from Naples and arrived as a passengers in steerage on S.S. Elysia (Anchor Line) at Ellis Island as immigrants on July 2, 1896.
Note there is printed text on the back with several paragraphs regarding emigration to America and a paragraph about Ellis Island and New York.
