Mabel Bolles Sheehan (1898-1976) was born in Hoboken August 6, 1898. Her mother was Mrs. Frank Bolles, Elizabeth Kelly Bolles.
Her memoir, 2014.055.0001, she calls the steps in postcard 1 as the "Thousand Steps" where on the back of the card, the person wrote about "Hundred Steps" [cataloguer's note: there was also a different "Hundred Steps" in the southwest part of Hoboken in this period.]
The church in postcard 2 is also discussed (along with Our Lady of Grace School which Mabel Bolles attended up to third grade). Even though Mabel Bolles and her family moved from Hoboken to Oneida, N.Y. in 1906 (possibly 1907), she returned to Hoboken to be married to John McKirby Sheehan in 1928 at Our Lady of Grace Church (information provided by letter from their daughter Joan S. Dalton in 2014.)
