Confusingly, this line was also called New York & New Jersey Railroad as well as New York & Jersey Railroad. It was formerly one of the lines of the Erie Railroad and was now part of the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad. It became part of New Jersey Transit as the Pascack Valley line. No service on Saturday, Sunday or major holidays.
