Scope and ContentTrade card: J. A. Lischke's Book and Stationery Store, Deutsche Buchhandlung, 93 River St., Hoboken, N.J. Card stock printed in red and blue, 3-5/16" x 5-3/8" wide. Reverse is unprinted and blank. Depicts logo of business which had American and German flags and crests depicted. Also a depiction fo the statue of Liberty (which was used on a postcard published by Lischke.) Several lines of text in German promoting their goods. This card was obviously distributed to steamship passengers, arriving (such as immigrants) or departing, of the Hamburg American Line or the North German Lloyd Line. While postcard size, it does not have any back imprinting suggesting that use.
