Scope and ContentUnited States Navy Identification Card, Thomas Francis Carey, no date, circa 1943 to 1945. Heavyweight paper, 2-1/8" high x 3-5/8" wide; thumbnail mug shot; Carey signature. Back has a fingerprint from left and right top finger (middle finger.) Note that the front has a later correction in ballpoint ink of his birth year from 08 to 06 (1906.) While this item does not have an issue date, the photo of him appears true to his early 1940s appearance. It may have have been issued for post-war Naval Reserve duty.
