Placemat: Lackawanna Railroad. The Route of Phoebe Snow.
Used by the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad for dining car service, circa 1951-1960. (Dining Car Department was headquartered in Hoboken; in late 1960 the Lackawanna Railroad became the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad.)
Color printed linen-finish paper, 11" x 17" wide, scalloped edge.
Depicts locomotive DLW 820 (model EMD E8A, built May 1951) which was used in advertisements, timetables, etc. throughout the 1950s.
This placemat may have been in general use on long distance passenger trains other than the Phoebe Snow.
