Hoboken, N. J. Shipyard. Located in busy New York Harbor, directly across from Manhattan's principal piers. Bethlehem Steel Corporation's Hoboken shipyard is one of the largest, most modern and most complete ship repair facilities on the Atlantic Coast. It has long been noted for the repair and renovation of marine engines and has four drydocks with lifting capacities of up to 27,000 tons and one of the largest land-based tanker cleaning plants in the world.
