WATERFRONT BLAZE WRECKS HOBOKEN PIER
HOBOKEN, N.J. -- Tons of water are poured into Pier 4 at Hoboken, as smoke and flames consume the 1,100 foot war supply depot. More than 600 fire fighters were casualties of the blaze which destroyed millions of dollars worth of war materials. Although still smoldering, the fire, which started Friday night, is now completely under control.
