Upper Gallery Art Opening: “Hoboken Sensations: The photographs of Marcella Conti”

Hoboken’s family-owned businesses are part of what makes Hoboken such a special place. They know their customers. They know their craft. They take pride in making bread or “mutz” in the traditional way — and better than the store three blocks over.

Marcella Conti, a Brazilian photographer, has captured the shops and shopkeepers that make up this special fraternity in Hoboken. Her exhibition, “Hoboken Sensations” opens Sunday, Feb. 25, from 2 – 5 pm. Meet the artist at the opening reception and celebrate Hoboken’s traditions. The exhibit will remain on view through April 8.

The exhibit is supported by a block grant from the State/County Partnership program for the Arts, administered by the Hudson County Division of Cultural and Heritage Affairs.
