Kevin McCloskey worked as a professor of illustration for Kutztown University of Pennsylvania for 30 years. His illustrations have appeared in the Village Voice and The New York Times. If you have a Museum tote, you’ll recognize his drawing “The Hobokener,” which adorns the front of the bag –– a favorite item in our gift shop.

Kevin has had a long-standing interest in preserving Hoboken history. In fact, he was one of the founding members of the Hoboken Historical Museum.

Kevin will be speaking about his new exhibit in the Upper Gallery “Walking Around Hoboken 40 Years Later,” which opens with a reception on November 16th from 2PM – 5PM.

We’ll hear how Kevin developed one of the first guidebooks about our city called “Walking Around Hoboken” in 1986. His stunning illustrations provide the basis for this upcoming exhibit.
