In “A Place Like Hoboken,” former teacher, professor, dock worker and Army veteran William Keller weaves together 23 entertaining narratives from material collected over the years from a Hoboken that has never stopped changing. The characters and often-raucous episodes describe a Hoboken that the author dubs “one of the most intriguing places on Earth.” He relates the stories with a verve and bluntness that anyone who lives here will probably recognize.
