Hoboken Talks: Carol Cusack, Irish-born longtime resident, interviewed by Rand Hoppe

March 13, 2022 @ 12:00 am

Join us Thursday, March 17 at 7pm when Carol Cusack is interviewed by the Museum’s own Rand Hoppe.

Dia dhaoibh a chairde. Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh! = Hello Friends. Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

Like many Irish immigrants, Carol arrived in the US in the early 1980’s.  Originally, she intended to visit for a few months and return to Ireland.  As fate would have it, she never left.  She found her way to Hoboken and has lived here ever since.  Carol worked in Hoboken in the ’80 -90’s at Maxwell’s during the influential early years of the Hoboken music scene.  She met her husband Mark there and they got married in Hoboken in the late 1990’s. Carol and Mark raised their children Aaron and Emma here.

Carol currently lives uptown in Hoboken and works in NYC. She enjoys walks along Hoboken’s beautiful waterfront, visiting her old neighborhoods on Jefferson Street, shopping in the local stores, eating in local restaurants, attending the Arts and Music Festivals, craft fairs and the Hoboken Arts Walk.  Carol is currently the volunteer treasurer at St Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church.
