Join us online Thursday December 2 at 7 pm when Museum Director Bob Foster will interview Linda Vollkommer-Lynch, Stevens Institute’s Head Women’s Fencing Coach.
Linda Vollkommer-Lynch was born in Hoboken. She has been teaching Women’s Fencing at Stevens Institute for 47 years, making her the longest-running head coach in Stevens’ history with a record of 615 victories against just 310 losses. In 1984, she competed in the U.S. Women’s Fencing Olympic Trials. Ms. Vollkommer received an honorary Master of Engineering degree from Stevens in 2004 and was enshrined in the Hudson County Hall of Fame (2000) and the New Jersey State Hall of Fame (1985). She holds saltwater fly fishing records in Nantucket, and may share the entertaining story of her encounter with Joe Biden!
