Assemblywoman Chaparro represents the 33rd Legislative District in the New Jersey General Assembly, which encompasses Hoboken, Union City, Weehawken, and portions of Jersey City. She serves as the Deputy Speaker Pro Tempore. Her leadership roles include Chair of the Tourism, Gaming, and the Arts Committee, Vice-Chair of the Law and Public Safety Committee, and a member of the Budget Committee.

When examining her biography, it is clear that Assemblywoman Chaparro’s love for Hoboken has informed her entire life trajectory. Her heart is with the people, especially from the Hoboken Housing Authority. Her role as a mother of three sons is also integral to her civic engagement.
