Hoboken Talks with Elizabeth Falco interviewed by Vanessa Falco

March 13, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Please join us on Thursday, March 13th at 7pm when Elizabeth Falco sits down with Vanessa Falco for our next episode of Hoboken Talks! This virtual program will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube.

Raised in Hoboken, Elizabeth Falco is a proud graduate of the Hoboken school system. She made history as the first African American principal of two of the very schools she once attended.

A dedicated advocate for civil rights, she became a founding member of the Hoboken NAACP at just 19 years old. Her commitment to justice led her to participate in the historic March on Washington, attend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s funeral, and witness President Barack Obama’s first inauguration.

Elizabeth is a devoted mother to three children: John (deceased), Vanessa, a former councilwoman, and Jason, a police sergeant in the Hoboken Police Department. She is also a cancer survivor, a testament to her strength and resilience.

Throughout her life, she has held numerous leadership roles, including serving as president of the NAACP and as a member of the Hoboken Planning Board. She remains actively involved in her community as a member of HOPES CAP Inc. and as treasurer of HEARTS.

By her side every step of the way has been her beloved husband, Peter Falco, retired Hoboken Police Lieutenant. Guided by the principles of equal rights, community service, and the belief in education as a pathway to progress, Elizabeth Falco continues to be a pillar of her community.

Elizabeth will be interviewed by her beloved daughter, Vanessa, who leads the Division of Housing within the Department of Community Development for the city of Hoboken.

Please tune in for this special interview!
