Shakera is known to Hoboken as the CEO of Mile Square Mommies, which was launched on her Nana’s birthday, April 5, 2023. Shakera has focused her boundless energy on nurturing a sense of community and belonging among families in our town. She does so in an earnest and generous spirit by organizing events and building engagement on social media. As examples, she has taught us how to dance salsa and conducted a roundtable discussion among Latino dads to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on Instagram Live. And she’s just getting started!
