Join Millicent Ansah, the Hoboken Historical Museum, and Poet in Residence Danny Shot for an afternoon honoring local Black voices. We’ll feature three published poets sharing their journeys, creative processes, and the depth of the Black experience.

Featured Poets

• Don Krypton – Comedian, author of Ill-Logical, and Newark Poetry Council founding member.

• Katrina Powell – Jersey City native and author of Was Voiceless, focusing on empowerment and survival.

• Justin Johnson (Johnson Soldout) – Music artist and author of Scattered, exploring identity and New Jersey life.

The program includes: A panel discussion, Q&A session, limited open mic, and book signings.
