WWI Film Screening: “Goodbye, Cleveland. Hello, France”
On Saturday, Aug. 11, join us at the Museum at 4 pm for a special screening of a new French documentary, “Goodbye, Cleveland. Hello, France,” that traces the story of an American soldier from Ohio.
The discovery of a trunk in a small village in France led filmmaker Claude Humbert on a journey to tell the story of Major Arthur Samuel Houts, who traveled through Hoboken in 1918 on his way to the battlefields of France. His destiny is emblematic of so many American soldiers.
The film screens at 4 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door, $5 for Hoboken Museum members.
