Upper Gallery Art Opening: Jim Fallon’s “Heaven, Hell or Hoboken: Monoprints on Combat Paper”
The Hoboken Museum is pleased to present our latest Upper Gallery art exhibit: Jim Fallon’s “Heaven, Hell or Hoboken: Monoprints on Combat Paper.” Jim Fallon is a Hoboken-born artist who creates multimedia artworks that incorporate “combat paper,” which is hand-made by veterans using pulped veterans’ uniforms.
Meet the artist at a special opening reception on Veterans Day, Sunday, Nov. 11, from 6 – 8 pm. The event is free, and will follow our special centennial commemoration of Armistice Day, the end of World War One, on Nov. 11, 1918.
Most of the 15 pieces in this exhibit all have a World War I theme, in honor of the centennial anniversary of Armistice Day, the final day of “the War to End All Wars,” on November 11, 1918.
The show is on view through Dec. 23.
The exhibit is supported by a block grant from the State/County Partnership program for the Arts, administered by the Hudson County Division of Cultural and Heritage Affairs.
