As found printed on page [8]: Hoboken New Jersey 1855-1955, Souvenir booklet from Hoboken Centennial. cf. archive catalog 2001.022.0005. Caption states that more than 6,000 Hoboken men reported for military duty in the early 1940's. Not credited, but original image is probably from the Historical Picture Collections of the Hoboken Public Library.
