Navigator's Plotting Instrument Set. Made by Keuffel & Esser Co., no date, probably 1971 up to 1975. Black faux leather vinyl plastic folding case, 8-1/8" wide x 2-7/8" high x 3/4" thick, with snap closures; imprinted on exterior top flap in dull gold; contents: 2 chrome plated instruments; tube with leads; screwdriver. Case is blind stamped on top edge, "Made in Germany", and instruments (7" dividers and pencil compass), "K&E Germany."
The items were made under a military procurement contract for the U.S. Government, Department of Defense. What service branch or branches these instruments were intended for is not stated or been determined.
