The view is looking northwest. The image incorporates the Union Dry Dock Repair Co. At the center left is a railcar transfer float, New Haven and Hartford Railroad No. 33, with a New York Central freight car on it. The vessel to its right belongs to the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Union Dry Dock Repair Co. was located in Weehawken from 1908 until it moved to its present facility in Hoboken in the late 1980's.
