Towle's Log Cabin Syrup. 12 oz bottle. General Foods Corp. Distributors, Hoboken, N.J. No date, circa 1950-1960. Clear fancy molded glass 9" high x 3-1/2" wide x 2" deep; lithographed metal screw cap; oval printed labels, front and back. Original contents reputedly present; unverified.
This retail bottle of "sugar and maple syrups" was made by the Log Cabin Products Division which was based in Hoboken in that period. This style of bottle was introduced shortly after World War II. Bottom is marked "Log Cabin" with a raised image of the cabin used as the logo; see label.
Cap is printed in red and white with a white "sticker" label area on top with the cent symbol in red. Front label has printed code: P6928 RG. Back label has code: P6882.
