Stacking coasters, set of 3, issued by Haven Savings, (Hoboken), no date, circa 1965-1975. Black molded plastic, rounded square shape , 4" square; with inset gray (silver) plastic relief medallion being an enlarged reproduction of the face of a 1916 Mercury dime coin.
A promotional item used as part of a customer loyalty or reward program. It is presumably a stock style offered by a novelty manufacturer with custom imprinting.
The full bank name does not appear on the objects nor does the city or address.
Haven Savings & Loan Association, either 41 Newark Street or 621 Washington St., Hoboken. Formerly the Haven Building & Loan Association and later Haven Savings Bank.
The Mercury (or Winged Liberty or Liberty Head) dime was first minted in 1916 and certain ones are considered rare. The bottom has raised text about the particular one depicted:
