White ceramic plate, 9-1/8" diameter with central vignette in full color of a Dutch windmill surrounded by a horseshoe wreath with calendar pages in green. Imprinted in gilt at front bottom with company name; note Frank and Furniture share the drop cap 'F'. Maker's mark on bottom: National China Co., E. L. O. [East Liverpool, Ohio], Western Gem, with eagle within circular type. An advertising novelty item presumably issued to the customers of this prominent furniture dealer at Second and Washington Streets as a holiday gift. It does not have a hanging hole on back.
