Shirt with "Maxwell House" patch. Part of factory dress uniform at Maxwell House Coffee plant, Hoboken, circa 1980s-1992. Long sleeve snap front with snaps at neck and cuffs; medium blue polyester / cotton blend; size M (medium); no pockets; maker: unknown (covered by commercial laundry tag.) Embroidered patch, 2" high x 3-7/8" wide, over left breast, with "Maxwell House" in white lettering on navy blue field, bright blue edging.
Belonged to Mike Conti, a one-time employee at the processing plant (closed 1992.) Other uniform elements in this accession included shirts with embroidered company name patch or script. See objects 2011.006.0005 and .0007 for two different shirts and .0020 for pants.
Maxwell House Coffee was a division of General Foods Corporation.
