Shirt with "Maxwell House" embroidered name. Part of factory dress uniform at Maxwell House Coffee plant, Hoboken, circa 1980s-1992. Short sleeve button front with snap at neck; light blue polyester / cotton blend; size M 15 - 15-1/2 (medium); two breast pockets; maker: Washington Mfg. Co., Visa brand. Embroidered over right breast pocket in dark blue thread script, "Maxwell House". Two each.
Slight variations in the embroidery: overall width (note relationship to width of pocket) and the size of the capital 'M.'
Belonged to Mike Conti, a one-time employee at the processing plant (closed 1992.) Other uniform elements in this accession included shirts with embroidered company patches. See objects 2011.006.0005 and .0006 for two different shirts and .0020 for pants.
Maxwell House Coffee was a division of General Foods Corporation.
