Work diary for 1941 of William Craig, employee of Bethlehem Steel Shipyard, Hoboken Division. Craig was a supervisor as well as a photographer. The Museum does not own the original. It is present in the Museum's collections as digital scans and reference prints. This record has 184 images with all pages shown. The Museum also has his 1942 diary in the same form (2002.209.0003).
The original was a 6" x 9" hardbound printed daily diary ("Deskaide, The Silent Secretary")as was typically available at stationery stores. It is filled in with pen or pencil by Craig with the names of vessels, locations, piers, work hours plus costs for meals, travel, and telephone calls.
