Album leaf with five mounted black-and-white photos of the Hoboken docks and on board the S.S. St. Paul, North German Lloyd Line, 1914. As received, all were mounted at some later date (1980's-90's?) on an 8-1/4" x 12" high stiff tan chipboard with holographic title at bottom "North German Lloyd 'S.S. St. Paul' | 1914" and captions below each photo. Photos, 2 vertical, 3 horizontal, vary in size, 2-5/8" to 2-3/4" x 4-1/8" to 4-7/16". All have evidence on the reverse of having been mounted on other album leaves plus they all have holographic ink captions appearing contemporary with the images. Photographer not known. Reverse is blank. Individuals are not identified by name. No evidence of any binding structure.
The holographic pencil caption on the reverse of the lower right photo (2002.230.0006) is the only original evidence of the name of the ship and probable date of this group of photos: Purser of St. Paul | 84 years old /14.
All have been removed from this leaf, catalogued and imaged separately in the photo catalog, 2002.230.0002 to 2002.230.0006.
