March, 1993. 76 each 8.5" x 11" single-sided typewritten leaves ([5], ii, 69 pp.] A set is on file in the archives and a reference copy is in a 3-ring binder shelved in the museum Library.
Guide to 780 images and their file negatives in the Hoboken Public Library. Ca. 300 duplicate negatives were donated to the Museum. The negatives are catalogued in the photo catalogue under this accession number and are cross referenced with the Library's negative number.
The four-page table of contents is organized alphabetically by main subject of image. It also serves as a general cross-reference index to the subjects in the images.
The catalog refers to the library's collection of images which are not always photographs. While the bulk of the collection is reproductions of photographs, also represented are images of some non-photographic materials such as engravings, prints, printed images, artwork, postcards, etc. All are black-and-white negatives.
Hans has used information as found with the images. He usually does not cite sources or authorities for the information provided in the catalog although provenance is often included.
