Proclamation was presented during the 1997 Hoboken Heritage Award ceremonies of the Hoboken Historic Preservation Commission co-sponsored with the Hoboken Historical Museum in the Council Chambers, City Hall. The document was honoring the 98th anniversary of Kirchgessner's family business, United Decorating Company. A Museum exhibition about the company was then in place at City Hall.
