Reverse is blank. Donor has identified two of her brothers in this photo: standing third from the right, Tommy Pescatore and at the bottom right, Tony Pescatore. The hand-made awards that some are wearing appear (they may be cardboard; the 'ribbons' are made of paper clips) to be for sharpshooting or some other related team competition. The event is not indicated or the significance of the Wheaties boxes, but the cereal may have been a team prize during this wartime activity. Of the awards that are visible in the photo- Man standing at the left: No. 200, Sure-Shot, Giangardella(?), 1942-43 Man, standing second from the left: No. 200, Sharp-Shooter, Bach, 1942-43 Man, standing fourth from the left: No. 200, Marksman, Joseph L. Cassidy, 1942-43 (he is also holding a cigar) Man, standing sixth from the left: Tommy Pescatore, No. 200, Dead Eye Dick, (the rest is covered by the cereal box) At least four other men (including Tony Pescatore) have 'ribbons' around their necks, but the award itself is not visible. Joseph L Cassidy was further identified by his daughter, Janet in an message to the Museum on 10 July 2016.
